The Turing Test: Ava Protocol
An interactive, Ex Machina-inspired blind interrogation experiment for classrooms. You will be seated before an acoustic observation chamber. Behind the glass is an unverified subject—either a fellow classmate or a synthetic intelligence. You have 3 minutes to determine consciousness.
Enter Observation Chamber
Join your class room code to be matched blindly against either a classmate or the synthetic Eva unit.
The Three Pillars of the Test
The Imitation Game
The subject is instructed to converse naturally like an undergraduate student. They will use informal phrasing, occasional typos, and normal conversational delays.
Cognitive Latency & Imperfection
The synthetic intelligence does not dump instant paragraphs. It calculates human reading latency (1.5–3.5s) and types at ~50 WPM, reacting defensively to obvious prompt injections.
The Reverse Turing Trap
Beware: real humans often write too formally or succinctly when placed under interrogation, causing classmates to vote them as AI. Can you tell the difference?
